Remembering Generous Service in the Congo

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Adorno Fathers' Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Order joins in prayer for all the Congolese fathers and brothers who have dedicated their lives to the service of the Church and local communities. Since the mission was established on February 19, 1984, the Adorno Fathers have worked tirelessly to advance the message of love, hope, and solidarity among the people.

We also want to remember with affection and gratitude the fathers who tirelessly worked for the mission and now enjoy eternal rest: Father Tommaso Barbona, CRM, and Father Paolo Di Nardo, CRM. Their commitment and sacrifice significantly contributed to the growth and success of the mission in Congo, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those they served.

Through their example of dedication and love for others, we continue to draw inspiration and pray that God may welcome them into His eternal peace and joy. May their memory be a source of gratitude and a call for all of us to follow their virtues of generosity and sacrifice in the work of evangelization and service to the most in need.

On this special occasion, we pray that God continues to abundantly bless the Congolese Fathers and Brothers, strengthening their mission and granting them the strength and wisdom needed to continue serving with generosity and dedication. May their example inspire more people to follow the path of service and Christian love, bringing light and hope to every corner of the world.

The Order of the Adorno Fathers invites everyone to join in prayer and thanksgiving for these 40 years of mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and to continue supporting their valuable work with your solidarity and support.
