For the Glory of God and the Salvation of Souls

With joy and profound thanksgiving to God, the Order of the Clerics Regular Minor (Caracciolini Fathers and Brothers) announces the priestly ordination of Fr. Pacifique Bahidika Murhula, CRM, celebrated on March 19, 2025, the Solemnity of St. Joseph, at the Sanctuary of Adoration in Goma (DR Congo). The ordination was presided over by His Excellency Bishop Willy Ngumbi Ngengele, Bishop of the Diocese of Goma.

The celebration was marked by deep spiritual joy and fraternal communion, with the presence of three emeritus bishops—Theophile Kaboy, Faustin Ngabu, and Kapango—alongside numerous priests, religious men and women, and the faithful. A gentle rain fell during the Mass, which many saw as a sign of divine blessing.

Fr. Pacifique, the youngest of seven children, was born into a devout Christian family from Ihimbi-Kadjucu-Katana in South Kivu. His vocational journey within the Clerics Regular Minor began in 2001 and included formative experiences in Nyamilima, Goma, and a final profession in 2010, alongside theological and philosophical studies completed between 2017 and 2024.

He expressed deep gratitude to all those who accompanied him on his journey—formators, superiors, fellow brothers, and his late parents who passed on the Christian faith. He thanked the Superior General, Fr. Ted Kalaw, CRM, and his Council, the Delegation Superior, Fr. Jean Claude Musubaho Lulonga, and all those who have guided him along the way.

Fr. Pacifique shared his desire to live his priesthood with availability, humility, and a spirit of service, desiring above all to glorify God and work for the salvation of souls. Though filled with joy, he acknowledged the suffering of his homeland, praying especially for peace in DR Congo, where insecurity continues to affect many, including some family members who were unable to attend his thanksgiving Mass due to conflict on the roads.

With hope and trust in God’s providence, he concluded with a heartfelt prayer: “May the Lord make me a faithful priest in the image of His Son, and bring peace to our country and the world.”
