A Sacred Time of Prayer for the Souls in Purgatory

The souls of the just are in the hand of God, and no torment will ever touch them.  Wisdom 3:1

November calls us into a sacred season of profound reflection and fervent prayer for the souls who have departed from this earthly life.  It is a time when the Church, in her wisdom, encourages us to turn our hearts toward the holy task of interceding for those in purgatory.

This November, the Clerics Regular Minor invite you to join in this spiritual work of mercy, offering prayers of love and sacrifice for the purification and eternal rest of the faithful departed.

Throughout November, we will light the Paschal candle at our beloved church of Sant’Angelo in Pescheria in Rome, casting the light of Christ over our prayers for the departed. Every day, we will offer Mass for those who have gone before us, as we entrust them to God’s infinite mercy.

The Purgatorial Society of Saint Michael Pius Union holds this tradition close to its heart, uniting us all—those on earth and those who have departed—in a chain of prayerful hope. By remembering your loved ones in this way, you participate in a beautiful work of mercy, helping to guide their souls toward eternal peace.

If you would like your loved ones to be remembered in a special way this month, simply share their names with us. Their names will be placed before the Paschal candle and included in the intentions of our daily Masses, where together we will ask for God’s mercy to shine upon them.

Join us in this sacred tradition, and let our prayers ascend like incense, embracing our departed with the hope of eternal life in Christ.
